A wedding is a joyous occasion where a community comes together to celebrate the love that a couple shares for one another. The focus of the wedding ceremony is on the couple themselves, their love and their story. Each couple has their own tale to tell, and it is my job to listen to this and ensure that your special day is unique to you.
I will help you choose readings, select or write your vows, and write the ceremony for you. I will also provide any help you may need in completing the paperwork that comes with a wedding, including the Notice of Intent to Marry, marriage certificates and registering the marriage.
Whether you want an outdoor or indoor wedding, an alternative or traditional wedding, I want to hear from you! Get in touch and we can discuss how to make your day unique to you as a couple.
Finally, marriage is for everyone! Same-sex marriage is legal at last and we can now celebrate all kinds of love. I am delighted that I am now able to offer same-sex weddings to celebrate LGBT love!
The service that I offer same-sex clients is the same as any traditional wedding. I am all for creating a service that is personalised and tailored to your requirements to create a day that thoroughly represents your relationship.
The legalisation of same-sex marriage has been too long in the making, so I know that this day will have significant meaning to you as a couple, your family, friends and the LGBT community. I will help you select or write vows, and will create a ceremony, that reflects the true importance of your day.
Whether you want a lavish celebration or a quiet intimate affair, please get in touch and we can talk about your tastes, interests and budget in order to create a day that will work for you.
All couples and relationships are different, and you may not feel ready or comfortable with a legally binding marriage. If so, then a commitment ceremony may be the way to go. A commitment ceremony allows you stand in front of all your friends and family to make a public declaration of your love and commitment to one another.
A commitment ceremony is a great option for a couple who got married abroad or even those who eloped. It allows them the opportunity to re-celebrate their union in front of their loved ones who were unable to attend the wedding itself.
The ceremony can be very similar to a traditional wedding if you desire, with the exchange of vows and rings, white gowns and poetry readings. Alternatively, we can incorporate any requests that would not normally be possible in a traditional wedding ceremony. It can be as extravagant or as simple as you wish.
If you are looking to arrange a commitment ceremony, or want to discuss ideas, then get in touch with me today.
Love lasts a lifetime and I am here to help you celebrate it at any stage of your relationship! Renewing your vows is a great way to reaffirm the love and commitment that you share as a couple, and to celebrate the success of your marriage.
A vow renewal can also be an opportunity to redo any mistakes or regrets that you had from your first wedding ceremony. Maybe your photographs turned out badly the first time around, or the rings went missing on the day! I will make sure that your renewal goes smoothly and creates new memories to treasure.
You may also wish to have a vow renewal in order to allow your children to celebrate with you – they might just have been a twinkle in your eye the first time around! The vow renewal allows you to confirm your love to your family and children as well as to one another.
However you wish to reaffirm your love, don’t hesitate to get in touch to discuss how we can make your vow renewal a day to treasure.
Many people are turning away from the traditional religious Christening but they still want an opportunity to celebrate the arrival of a new bundle of joy to a family. A naming ceremony provides the perfect opportunity to show off your newborn to the world. The ceremony is an opportunity for new parents to declare their love and commitment to their child and any hopes for the future.
You may wish to nominate godparents, whose traditional role is to guide their godchild, or you can choose another name for the mentors you choose for your newborn. They can play a role in the ceremony if they desire. Similarly, you may wish to say a few words about why you have chosen these mentors, and their importance in yours and your child’s life.
Naming ceremonies are not legally binding, but, if you wish, I can provide a record of the ceremony to help you remember the day.
The ceremony can be as formal or informal as you choose, and I am happy to accommodate a wide range of belief systems, so please get in touch to discuss your ideas for the perfect naming ceremony for you.
Funerals and memorial services are a difficult time for everyone involved. They help us process the complex feelings of love and grief that are part of losing a special person in our lives. At this difficult time, I am committed to providing a caring and memorable service for your loved one.
It is important that the service is an opportunity for everyone to share their grief and love together, and to celebrate the life of their loved one.
I can help you organise memorial services, civil or non-religious funerals, and the scattering of ashes. As part of the service, I will write an overview of the life of your loved one, and help family and friends share anecdotes and memories. I can also help compose a eulogy, as I appreciate how difficult this can be. Music and photographs can also be included in the ceremony.
Please get in touch if you need any assistance planning a funeral or memorial service.
